The Founder

My name is John Thompson. I have been training, writing curricula and training materials, and working in social services both secular and faith based for 35+ years.

Most of what I teach I have learned in the field helping troubled and at risk youth, families in crisis, and individuals in all sorts of difficult, life controlling situations. While I have been certified in counseling and various approaches to equip those needing help to make positive change, it is the hands on experience that I treasure the most.

The power to change is usually resident in the person themselves. Of course, we all need help. No one makes it totally on their own. The key is getting the help one needs and being ready to succeed. Information, inspiration, opportunity, and motivation all come together resulting in a persons success. I have been blessed to learn how to supply all but the motivation. When the other aspects are there, the motivation usually follows.

I look forward to the opportunity to share with you the techniques that I’ve learned to help people change.

Common Questions

Yes. The curriculum for each group is evidence based and our Certificate of Completion is accepted by the court, the Department of Correction (DOC), and Children and Youth Services (CYS). We also recommend our training groups for those non-mandated individuals looking for the benefit of our services.

All of our group sessions are done online. Participants are sent a link that they can open on a computer, tablet, or on their phone. Weather, distance, or factors with childcare, etc. will not delay the group schedule. No need to travel or make special arrangements to be at an in-person meeting facility.

Many participants are referred and the payment is made by the referring agency. If however, you are paying for the lessons, you can make the payment online through our link on this site.

A digital copy of your certificate will be sent to any email address you designate. We can also send it to anyone else; attorney, parole agent, caseworker, etc. We will also send a hard copy to your address upon request.
